Thoughts: Read before posting!

I wanted to share a few thoughts based on some questions I have received.
  1. Make sure you create your own blog on blogspot.com. All of your responses to the prompts will be on your blog. Be creative. Your blog should be a reflection of you.
  2. We chose Blogspot/Blogger because the template is very user friendly. However, we understand it can also be intimidating. If you're worried about how to do it, click on this link for instructions.
  3. Each of the five prompts should be a separate post on your blog. Each response should be the equivalent of a 1-2 page typed paper in MLA style.
  4. Feel free to share your blog address on the this blog now or as we get closer to the start of school.
  5. Don't be afraid to post your blog address now for me, Ms. Wagener, and your peers to view. You can always update a post on your blog if you have additional thoughts or want to make changes. And, please, don't worry about others taking your work--each post has a publish date, so we can see who published a post first, and we are also very practiced in spotting plagiarism.
  6. Remember that once you publish a post, anyone with your blog address can read it. A blog is a public forum (public as in our class), so you want to ensure that your best self is represented. Some things to consider regarding your "best self" would be: proofreading for spelling, punctuation, grammar, and making sure your posts are honest but not offensive to others.
